How do I Deactivate my Instagram Account?
1) Go to https://www.instagram.com/, enter your login details then click Log In.
2) Once you are in, click on the icon highlighted in the upper-right part of the page. Action options will appear. Click on Profile.
3) On your profile page, click on Edit Profile.
4) Next, you need to click on Temporarily Delete my Account at the bottom of the Account Edit Page.
5) To confirm the deactivation, pick a reason why you are deactivating your account. Enter your password then click Temporarily Deactivate my Account and select Yes.
5) Your Instagram Account will be immediately suspended when you process its deactivation.
How do I Delete my Instagram Account?
1) Go to https://www.instagram.com/, enter your login details then click Log In.
2) Next, click on the icon highlighted in the upper-right part of the page. Action options will appear. Click on Settings.
3) You will be redirected to the settings page. On the middle-left section, click on Privacy and Security.
4) Scroll down and click on Support under Privacy and Security Help.
5) Next, below Managing Your Account, choose the option Account Privacy.
6) You will arrive at the Help Center where you will find Manage Your Account. Click on it, then choose Delete Your Account. Next, you will be given the option to either deactivate your account or delete it. Select Delete your Instagram Account.
7) After choosing to delete your account, pick the option to delete from a computer and click on Delete Your Account.
8) You will arrive at Your Account page. In order to proceed, you need to choose Privacy Concerns as the reason for the account deletion. Enter your Password then select Delete“username”.
9) Once processed, your account will be deleted after (30) Days. During that period, your account and any details connected to it will not be visible on Instagram.
