How do I Opt Out of PeopleByName?
1) Go to the PeopleByName homepage page http://www.peoplebyname.com/. Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click on People Directory.
2) Start running a search by clicking on the first letter of your last name.
3) Among the search results, find and click on your last name.
4) A new list of search results will appear for the selected last name. Among the said search results, find and click on your first name.
5) When you have found yourself among the search results, copy the 9-digit Record ID found in the upper right corner of your record detail. You must verify first if this is yourself and not someone else with your same name by checking if the name, location, and phone number match yours.
6) On a new tab, navigate to the PeopleByName opt-out page http://www.peoplebyname.com/remove.php. Fill up the removal form with your first name, last name, email address, Record ID, and Reason for removal. Verify the captcha box then click Request Removal.
IMPORTANT: Whenever contacting a data broker, we highly recommend using a disposable email address, and NOT using your own primary email address.
